Leave for the coast....

...the west coast. For those of you who don't know, we are on the east coast of the USA, this means there is 3500 miles to go!

Spent all week in a super heated oven call a storage unit packing and repacking boxes so they would not collapse. Enlisted 8 Flickr friends help last night to help us pack a 10 ton truck.
Doing last minute chores while Chris makes a cat window. Hopefully will be on the road by 12.

Have wireless internet for the whole trip which is awesome and means we will be updating our blogs and Flickr often.

Hard Work Pays Off

I have spent hours in the garden since we moved in trying to get it going. I planted a wide vareity of bulbs, herbs, vegetables and flowers and am only now starting to reap the benefits.

Yesterday I picked the first, of what looks like many, Baby Marrow (AKA Zuccini, Courgette) and I am thrilled! I know it is just a veggie, but it is the first I have been able to grow since arriving here 4 years ago! I finally get to taste the fruits of my labour!

Going to eat it soon!
