Coming to you live from Virginia Beach, Virginia....

I drove up here this morning, wrote an exam, then spent the rest of the afternoon preparing for tomorrow's one. It is late now and I have decided enough is enough, there is only so much one meager brain can take in one day!

Sunrise over Emporia

The picture was taken on my drive up for my first exam. Emporia is the first town/mini city (of gas stations and fast food joints) that you hit after crossing the state line from North Carolina to Virginia. It is also about 2/3 of the journey between home in Raleigh and ODU (Old Dominion University) in Norfolk, Virginia, where I write my exams.

I have to say that there is a certain calm to driving in the early hours of the morning, which is probably why I chose to leave early this morning too, even though I arrived 3 hours early for my exam.

A friend of ours, Carolyn and her wonderful, fun family, in Virginia Beach were kind enough to put up with me for the night and it is time for some rest. Good night.

EXAM Season is here!!

I write one of my finals tomorrow and am a little more than a little stressed out! I have way too much going on during my days and now with exams thrown in I feel like I am sinking! I feel sorry for Chris who has had to put up with a silly/crazy me at times during my examination preparation, perhaps it is the dark chocolate covered espresso beans that are doing it or maybe I am just losing my mind!
At least I have a week of vacation in the beginning of June to unwind and catch up on everything else that I have had to put aside over the last few months...pshhhaw...there goes the vacation idea!

Prayers would be valued until June 1st.
