Losing track of the days as our journey across the country goes on.

Today is Monday but does not feel like it. We are on route 281 heading to Jamestown after spending the morning catching up on some sleep and the afternoon catching up on life. We were supposed to get into Fullerton yesterday evening but we had to stop so Chris could work. He could work while on the road but the roads outside of Minneapolis were terribly bumpy which made typing an issue. I think he got tired of typing and retyping words as the key would depress too many times each time he pressed it due to the bumps. While he worked I caught up on much need sleep. I am one of those people who can’t sleep in a moving vehicle be it plane train, truck or automobile.

We arrived just in time this morning to see my friend Wayne off to work. Wayne is friend from SA, he hails from Harrismith and is here in the US on a farmer training program (I think that is what it is) His boss was kind enough to give him the afternoon off so we could spend some time catching up. Chris took many pictures and Molly got to play in the mud…watch Chris’ flickr page for more.

The drive so far has been great, this being because I love to drive and have been doing the majority of it. Who would have thought I would be a trucker in my lifetime! The countryside is beautiful on this the Northern Route across the USA.

When we reach Jamestown which will be in about 20 miles we will refuel then rejoin US I94 and take this all the way to Seattle, Going through the following states…North Dakota (in right now), Montana and Washington.

Okay, it took me so long to write the above that we are now on 94 doing 75 miles an hour (speed limit), heading to Sequim Washington. Chris is driving so I guess this means I need to pull out a book, kick back and relax a little.

Thanks Wayne for having us.

Check Chris’ blog for updates too.
